Toilet Talk

Okay, so I have to ask this question, because I've recently discovered something at the age of 30 and am wondering if I've been in the dark my whole life about this thing. So, when you go into a public restroom, they have those toilet seat covers. Truth be told, sometimes I have to go to the bathroom and am only concentrating on that simple fact. In these situations, I don't have the time to punch out the little part of the seat cover that drops down in to the toilet. About a month ago, for some reason or another (probably in one of those I'VE REALLY GOT TO GO moments) I put the cover down without punching out that middle section and guess what?!? It worked. I was so excited with my new discovery! I now use those seat covers without taking any of my "precious" time to punch out the middle section. Is this something that only I did because I never learned any better and everyone else has successfully been using the seat covers. Is that why the covers are made out of such flimsy paper? Please tell me that I am not the only one to have wasted my time...

  1. Yes, my wife loves to converse about this silly topic. But just so you know I rip out the middle section to to a quick wipe down of the toilet seat, then put the skinny flimsy paper on the seat to do my business.

When I am done I use that same skinny flimsy paper to wipe with. Saves on toilet paper:).

Okay so not really on that last part:).

  2. That is so funny Court! And I was totally impressed and totally disgusted by Daniel's comment. But I hate to tell you that I don't rip the middle part beforehand. I do like the idea of the wipe down with it though! You and your bathroom adventures, I tell ya!

  3. I am with you Courtney, I had no idea you didn't have to rip it. Good to know. I use the first few squares of tissue (you have no idea who touched it before) to wipe the seat off first. That way you have new tp for yourself.

  4. Thanks for the discovery! A few years ago I finally gave up and have been hovering rather than punching out that flimsy section... :) Maybe I'll have to revisit those seat covers...
