Ricks Reunion

Yes, you read that correctly. I went to Ricks College. Not BYU-Idaho, but Ricks College. I know that dates me now, but I am very proud to say that I went to Ricks. I loved Ricks. I could go on and on about Ricks and all the memories and friendships I made there. But, I won't bore you with a walk down memory lane. Instead, I'll show you some of my friends from Ricks:

Jeannie, Joelle, Debbie, Me and Elise on the day Deb, Elise and I graduated from Ricks

My first year at Ricks, I was randomly paired up to share a room with Elise. It was a blessing for sure! Elise and I became close friends very fast. Oh my Schwabby! Again, too many memories to begin sharing. We happened to have a great neighbor named Joelle. The second year of Ricks, Elise and I decided to live with Joelle. Elise's cousin Jeannie moved in as well. And we were randomly paired with Debbie. That year in Royal Crest 214, we had a blast. We all became such close friends. We have a ton of personal jokes and millions of memories. The best part is we've kept in touch and had get togethers. Since the days of Ricks, we've all gotten married. Elise married a great guy that she met at Ricks, Debbie married one of our FHE brothers from our Royal Crest days, Jeannie married a great cowboy from Okahoma, Joelle married a guy she met at Ricks the year after I left, and I married Daniel.

Two summers ago just before Debbie got married and before I moved to Arizona, we got together at Joelle's house for a barbeque. Here are the pictures from that party:

This last summer, Jeannie was in town from Oklahoma, so we had another get together at Joelle's place. Unfortunately Debbie couldn't make it. Joelle and her husband Stevan made some amazing pizzas for us. Elise made pizza for the kidos, I made dessert, and Jeannie told us the great news-she's pregnant with her first! It was such a fun night. The husbands were able to go outside and throw the football around while us girls chatted about the good ole days of Ricks. We talked about the joys of marriage and what great husbands we have. We even shed some tears. It really was such a fun night with such great friends. I truly am blessed to have these girls as my friends. Who would've thought that 13 years later we'd be where we are? It is so much fun to get together and laugh about all the crazy things we did in college. And better yet, our husbands enjoy being together too! When we started taking "roommate" pictures, the guys had to have their own pictures as well. Thanks for the memories girls!
