On Thursday we went to Hanama Bay. It was awesome! Luckily we brought our snorkeling gear, so we were able to see some beautiful fish. We even saw a couple of sea turtles, Daniel almost stepped on one! I really wanted to pet one of them that was right next to me, but I remembered the video-DON'T TOUCH! We also saw a rainbow parrot fish, some pennantfish and Daniel saw an Octopus! The water was super clear and the sun was shining. Great for snorkeling.
We headed straight from Hanama Bay to a place for parasailing. I've always wanted to go parasailing, but have been hesitant after watching America's Funniest Home Videos. I'm sure you've seen those videos of people on the beach that just eat the sand as they are drug a few feet until they are air born. Luckily we took off from the back of the boat. Being up that high was spectacular! I'm not gonna lie, looking down at the water was something I tried NOT to do, but looking out over the ocean and the beach was pretty neat. As they reeled us in, they let us dip down in the water. Daniel decided to splash and splash me with water, much to the entertainment of all those on the boat, so we actually had extra time in the water before they reeled us onto the boat! It was quite the experience though!
That night we had real Hawaiian food and shaved ice. So tasty! The Hawaiian dinner was at this hole in the wall type place called Ono Hawaiian Food. We had Laulau, Kaulua Pork, Lomi Salmon, Pork Jerky, Poi, Rice and Haupia Cream. We had got our shaved ice from Puka Dogs. The guy working at Puka Dogs was really excited to make us his Rainbow Shaved Ice. It was very good, but we thought he was a bit odd and possibly higher than a kite. It made for an entertaining evening!
I loved Hanauma Bay! We snorkled and swam with a turtle. So much fun! We had fun parasailing too. Looks like you guys had a blast!
