One Month Old!

Our little Variah turned one month old on Wednesday! I can't believe we've had her in our lives for a whole month. But on the flip side, it seems like she's been a part of our lives for a very long time.  We sure do love her. Lately she's been smiling and it just makes me so happy!  It seems like late at night when she won't go back to sleep after I've fed her and I'm super tired and frustrated, she'll smile at me to remind me how cute she is.  It makes me laugh and not be frustrated.

We've had some funny moments with V.  One night I was feeding her and dozed off a bit. She burped pretty loud making both of us jump.  I laughed about it.  Another time she burped with such force that her lips moved kinda like Homer Simpson.  I'm sure these moments are just the tip of the iceberg with many more to come the older she gets.  We've had a couple of outings to my parents house, the dr. and even a walk. But for the most part our favorite place to be is home, on the couch, on the cushion next to the console.  Yep, that is where you can find us most days, just hanging out in our pajamas or comfy clothes (they fit the best).  During the Olympics we watched those all day long while we hung out on the couch.  Now that they are over, we keep the TV off, for the most part, and I read. I'm reading Cold Sassy Tree right now.  It is nice because I can have it on my nook in my bedroom and on my computer for in the family room.  Here are SOME pictures of our Variah:

Her whole face lights up when she smiles

If she could talk...  "Oh honey, that's nothin'. One time..."

Chillin' with daddy in the K'Tan

Look at that smile

Daniel disclaimer: the pictures were taken on different days. Daniel saves me laundry time by wearing the same shirt/short combo for a 2 or 3 days, then swaps them out.  He only wears them for a few hours, so they're not dirty :)

My dad spoke in a ward the day Variah was born. He told the congregation I was having a baby and some lady sitting on the front row gave the hat and shoes to him after he spoke. She made them.

Just chillin with mom watching the Olympics

Our Little Grunter-She loves turning her head to one side. The Dr. said it is probably how she was in side of me.  I also think she played with her tongue lots, cuz she is always doing that, hungry or not.

  1. She is ADORABLE!! Love the pictures and the stories! Newborns are so fun but lots of work! :) And you can let Daniel know that Spencer does the same thing. He usually wears the same shirt and short combo after work for a few hours for 2-3 days. Those Taylor boys...you gotta love them!
