Labor Day Weekend

 Daniel's brother and sister-in-law blessed their baby Marika on September 2.  It was Variah's first time at church.  For the occasion I made her some shoes out of an old t-shirt.  They were super easy and looked so cute on her little feet.

 I love this picture of Daniel and Variah! Daniel always looks so handsome in his suit. :)

 Variah and Marika. Marika is a month and a half older than Variah. Marika was born on June 1. She was blessed in the dress that Tiffany was blessed in and that was made for her! 

This is cute Brayden, Marika's older brother. He is so cute and when I asked him if he knew who was in the carseat, he said, "Baby Variah". He's only 2 and soo smart! He had us laughing back at the house  being a funny little kid.

That afternoon we drove up to Snowbird to spend the night at my family's condo.

She was telling Grandma Larlie all sorts of stories! (the mark of Variah's head is a type of birthmark that consists of several tightly packed blood vessels.  It should go away by the time she is 9 or so.  Her hair will probably cover it up anyways)

I was able to sleep in a bit while Variah was watched by my folks. It was pretty nice.

You can tell Daniel enjoyed it too!

The condo association puts on a bingo tournament every year we are there. It is pretty fun and they give out prizes. There is a family that comes every year that is pretty annoying. The have certain phrases they say after things are called like B4..."and after" or B8..."don't be late". Sorry if you love saying those phrases too, but it is annoying. Then to add to that, one of the dads (it is an extended family with grandma and grandma and the likes) kept winning everything.  I think he won 5 times in a row.  During black out the guy behind me in the picture, paid the caller 5 bucks to NOT call out the one square the guy winning needed.  The caller didn't take the money, due to legal reasons, but low and behold he called I19, the last space left on the winners card!  The winner stopped playing after that :) Oh, and the grandma of that group during blackout kept asking if she was supposed to clear her card. I think the caller had to tell her 5 or 6 times not to clear her card!  We were dying!

Austin represented our family and was the only winner!  Hooray!

Unfortunately that winning guy took all of the Reese's, so Austin had to settle with the Kit Kat and root beer.  Nicely done Austin.

Variah was content to just hang out on the couch.  She loves being able to see what is happening all around her.  She doesn't like being held with her back to the room, she would rather face the room when being carried!  Just like Daniel is holding her in the first pictures.  Funny little girl!
