Time Out For Women

**So due to this stupid thing with blogger that told me, Courtney, a few weeks ago that my picasa album was full, I'll now be signing on as Daniel to get my posts and pictures up. It is SO lame that there is a limit of how many pictures you can have for your blogs! Grrr! Anyways, I'll be the blogger, not Daniel. If anyone knows how to get past that dumb picasa web limit, please let me know!**

I went up to Logan for Time Out for Women last weekend, Oct 12th and 13th. A couple of weeks ago Anna, Daniel's sister, asked if we'd like to go up to Logan for the weekend and TOFW. She's gone to TOFW in Salt Lake and said it was great, but very crowded. Ashley, Daniel's sister, is going to school up in Logan, so that's where we headed. I was very hesitant to go because I was worried that Variah would cry for the whole drive up and that she'd be hard to take care of during the conference. I just kept thinking that I'd spend most of the conference out in the hallway with a fussy baby.  Anna was great at convincing me I needed to go and to do something for myself. She said she'd help out with Variah and that it would be so worth it. She was right! Variah actually slept for most of the drive up, thanks to an app Anna had on her phone.  And thanks to all the prayers that were said asking for Variah to be good, she was great! She fell asleep quickly when I rocked her and was just a great baby! YEAH!!

We headed up Friday afternoon. After getting into Logan, we checked into the historic Baugh motel.  Ashley brought Korean food for Anna and herself. Tiff and I got soup and a sandwich from Old Grist Mill, located only in Logan and a place I loved when I was there. After eating we headed up to the Kent Concert Hall for TOFW.  We listened to some great speakers and musical numbers.  Afterwards we went back to the hotel and chatted and laughed. It was good to have adult conversations with women :)

Saturday morning we woke up, ate breakfast (thanks to Anna and Ashley for bringing it to Tiff and Me who were taking care of babies/still in bed) and then headed up to the Kent.  The day was full of awesome speakers that made me cry with gratitude for my life.  I spent lots of the day in the mother's lounge, but I was just fine with that since I was able to hear and watch all of the presenters.

After lunch while we were walking back to the concert hall, Marika's awesome hair attracted the attention of Kate Jones, one of the contributors on Our Best Bites. It is one of my favorite recipe blogs, so of course we had to snap a picture!

After it was all said and done, we visited Ashley's apartment, I visited Aimee Brunson, went out to dinner and then headed home. It was a really fun weekend. Thanks Anna for putting it all together!

It was a "hair raising" experience!
