Debbie picked up our dinners from Zupas, then picked each of us up and we were off! We ate dinner in our hotel room and then headed over to hear from some great speakers. We got in a quick group picture before the event
Ashley, Debbie, Alyssa, Tiffany, Anna, Me( I really don't feel like a giant until I see pictures like this-haha)
These are who we heard from on Friday Night Nov. 22:
Sheri Dew
Hudson Lights
Terryl and Fiona Givens
Ann Romney
After we got back to our rooms and changed into our pajamas we gathered in Alyssa, Debbie and my room to chat for a bit. There was lots of laughing that is for sure. At midnight everyone went to bed except Alyssa and me. We ended up staying awake until 3 am talking. I loved chatting with Alyssa, just wish we didn't get up Saturday at 6! I was so tired. I don't know how night shift people do it! Exhausting for sure. We ate breakfast there at the hotel and then headed over for Saturday's session.
We heard from:
Mary Ellen Edmunds-Change Your Mind
Hilary Weeks
Sandra Turley-Sparks of Creation
S. Michael Wilcox-Prayers that Reach Heaven
Jennifer Brinkerhoff Platt-The Intentional Life
Laurel Christensen Day-Letting Go of your Fears
I would say my favorite was S. Michael Wilcox. He talked about losing his wife one year during the Christmas season and how hard it had been and how he overcame that trial. I always enjoy the spirit of unity and love that it so strong at Time Out for Women. It makes me feel proud to be a woman and mom. It helps me realize that I'm not alone in some of my feelings of inadequacy and my struggles. It is amazing to go to Time Out for Women with thoughts, feelings and questions that no one else knows about, only to have them quieted and answered! I LOVE it! I feel like some of the talks are just for me. Thanks ladies for going. I had a great time!
