December Pictures

December seemed to fly by with all the different activities leading up to Christmas. Here are some of the things we did before that special holiday:

Variah learned to say a new word-and loves to say it lots!

Our Christmas tree

Our new tree skirt

Variah's Christmas tree

I think it will work better next year, she just enjoyed pulling the whole thing off the wall.

I shoveled the driveway and tried to keep Variah contained in her stroller. It lasted for a bit, then she wanted to sit in the lawn chair. It made me laugh to see her in my sun tanning chair in freezing cold temps!

She was so proud that she got the shirt to stay on her head! She came running really fast towards me and I was lucky to get this pictures cuz she then went running away.

The many silly faces of Variah

She now waves to the characters on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Our new Christmas tradition-To wear new Christmas socks or pajamas and watch Mickey's Christmas Carol. I plan on watching it the first Sunday/Monday in December.

Variah's new pajamas

Variah has decided to be a climber.  It caught me off guard one day while I was going to the bathroom. I looked over and there she was! And there wasn't anything I could do about it for the minute. Luckily she didn't fall!

Eating breakfast with Jordan

Playing with the Nativity set

My sick little girl just wanted to sleep in my arms-I didn't complain!

I went to Temple Square with the Young Women to see the lights. Variah liked wearing my hat while I was getting ready

My favorite tree at Temple Square

The beautiful temple and the lights. I've never been up to the Roof restaurants to look at the lights. It was so beautiful and provided a great view-picture

I hosted book club for December. We did a children's Christams book exchange, so I decorated with the books I have purchased over the years

Like parents like daughter-she attempts to pull down the collar of her shirt so she can put the deodorant on

One day I showered and let Variah play in our closet and bedroom, thinking it was pretty baby proof.  WRONG! She hadn't ever opened up my nightstand drawer.  One time was all it took. She found all sorts of treasures! She especially enjoyed my church bag that was flu of candy and gum. I'm pretty sure she ate a couple of pieces of gum and maybe some candy. She was eating a mamba when I caught her.

She loves her books

I bundled her up so I could de-ice the steps

She was playing with the nativity set under the tree while I read on the couch. She would sit up every once in awhile and wave to me. SOO cute!

Just watching her favorite show

She sure enjoys climbing in boxes

Ready for Church the Sunday before Christmas

Eating a cupcake from a neighbor

She really enjoyed it!

So one day Daniel was out shoveling.  Variah tried to be a great helper and decided a dust pan in the garage was the closest thing to a shovel she could lift.

This girl loves to eat some crazy things.  She likes sour cream and we just found out…pomegranates.
