Cabo

I am warning you now, this post is gonna be picture overload. So you have now be warned. Feel free to skip to the next post or scroll quickly through this post.

For Daniel's work, they planned an incentive trip for the distributors in Mexico. They decided to do Cabo San Lucas at an all inclusive resort The Westin.  Oh man, can I tell you how I excited I was leading up to this trip? Seriously this was my first real vacation since I had Variah. We did go downtown for a couple of days, but this was a real no child vacation.  Ahhh….

We used Daniel's sky miles to fly Ciara up to babysit for the week. My mom came for Friday and Saturday, the Taylor's watched Variah Sunday and Tiffany watched her Monday.  So grateful for willing and helpful family!

So we flew out Tuesday morning.  We had a shuttle come and pick us up-thanks to Daniel's work. And then we were on our way to Paradise!

We were STARVING by the time we got there, so of course we decided to eat right away. This was my favorite thing I had there. I had it on our last day too!

Fish tacos

Daniel had shrimp fajitas and ice cream

Our view while we ate

Then we needed to walk off all that yummy food!

The view of the hotel from the beach

Finally at the beach!

This are the views from our room

Here are more shots of the hotel from different angles

Such a cool hotel!

Daniel was in heaven when he saw these tacos for dinner!

The cute desserts for the night

I saw this mannequin and decided it was a warning…if I didn't eat myself silly I could end up looking like her.  So I did just that, ate myself silly. All the food I could eat I did!

Day 2

We got this cute picture from Ciara of our little V back at home. We knew we'd made the right decision having Ciara come babysit. Variah loves her aunt Ciara! And I think Ciara likes dressing her up and being with her too!

I was looking out the balcony window from our bed and reminiscing the last time we had a view like that-our cruise with 4life.  Anyways, as I was looking at the ocean, I totally saw a whale! It was super cool and we were able to see more and more whales that week.

This is what Daniel had for lunch- Marlin tacos and kalamari and shrimp cocktail.

And of course some ice cream

While we were there I was reading a murder mystery that takes place in a small town. The girl who helps solve the crime owns a cookie shop.  So throughout the book there are cookie recipes.  All I wanted to do was bake and eat cookies!  And the bad thing was that I was so full at the meals I couldn't even eat the desserts!  I finally found that they had chocolate chip cookies at breakfast, so I started sneaking some out in my napkin to eat later during the day at the pool :)

Chips, salsa, guacamole and drinks were a daily occurrence at the pool for us. We just had to remember to ask for virgin drinks-I forgot one day and we could tell immediately that I'd made that mistake. Oops!

Day 3
The distributors arrived Thursday afternoon, so Daniel went to welcome them. I hung out by the pool-surprised I know

The daily picture from Ciara. Sure love those 2!

They had a wedding that afternoon so I watched for a bit from our balcony while I waited for Daniel to get back from greeting the 4Lifers

All ready for our night on the town

The first of many more pregnancy pictures!

A view of the streets of Cabo and a group shot of the distiburors

It was an open art gallery night, so I had to get a picture with at least 1 piece of art

We ate dinner at La Panga Antigua.  It was a great outdoor restaurant. Our tour guide said it is one of the best in Cabo

I was feeling super super dizzy at dinner. I had been having dizzy spells since getting there to Cabo.  I didn't know what was causing it, but I found something online that said red meat/protein would help a dizzy spell during pregnancy. So of course I ordered the steak and gobbled it up.  Pretty tasty!

The dessert was a chocolate tamale-finally some chocolate!

Day 4

We sure loved getting these pictures!

This day was our day of snorkeling.  The tour guide was so good to me! He told me to eat a light breakfast and check with my OB to see if I could take dramamine to help combat the dizzy spells and prevent me from getting sick on the boat to the snorkeling cove.  FYI you can take dramamine while pregnant.

Waiting to get onto the bus

They handed us drinks as soon as we boarded the boat that was a lot like a house boat.

Lover's Beach

Story goes that if 2 people go into this cave, 3 come out. I guess it has something to do with Lover's Beach :)

Land's End

Nasty smelling seals

Off to snorkel

Some of the gang

For sure getting this beaut framed for our wall

Warming up/chilling on the beach

The delicious spread when we got back on the boat!

Leaving the cove where we snorkeled

When we got back to our hotel we were still a bit hungry...

And I was wanting something sweet, like chocolate!

Day 5

The distributors and Daniel went on a 4 wheeling adventure. I didn't think it was so good to do since I was pregnant so we scheduled a massage on the beach-a very good thing to do!

He said he chose a pink bandana for Variah :) He loves our little girl

My little massage cabana

Poolside burger and fries-yes please!

The whales

The goodbye banquet

Day 6…last day

We ate our favorite meals that day for lunch before we left.

Such a great vacation!

Our welcome home…

Our good friends Julia and Adam Robertson played an early April Fool's Joke and replaced all of our pictures with theirs.  It was pretty funny!

It was hard to leave the beauty of Cabo, but nothing beats coming home! Especially when you have a cute girl like this at home!
