Mother's Day

Sunday morning I woke up to Daniel and Variah bringing me breakfast in bed. This year Variah was old enough to climb in bed with me and eat breakfast. She was in heaven eating somewhere other than her highchair! After eating breakfast Variah grabbed my hand and quickly led me into the kitchen where my gifts were waiting for me on the kitchen table.  Daniel and she also made me a cute card. Daniel got me 2 shirts that I can wear while I'm pregnant, gardening gloves and a coupon to make dinners for a week. We went to the Taylors' house that night for dinner. Variah loved the strawberry pie they had for dessert.

"Cheese"

This is her signing for more and saying please at the same time. I think she liked the Strawberry pie!

For my sisters and sister in laws that are moms I made Orange scented bath bombs.

Daniel and I are both so lucky to have such great moms in our lives-those that gave birth to us as well as mother figures that we have learned from.

I am happy I get to be a mom. Some days are long and frustrating, but it is something I have wanted all my life. I read this quote the other day and really really liked it,
"As a mom I need to keep reminding myself that I'm living my dream. It's harder and crazier and more beautiful than I dreamed it would be. I chose this. I hoped for this. I worked for this. And now here I am, reaping the consequences, both hard and good of the dreams I set in motion."

So thankful and blessed to be a mom to this cute little girl and baby boy in September!
