Payson Temple Open House

Daniel had the day off, so the night before we booked tickets to do the Payson Temple Open House.  I am a Nazi about nap times with the kids, but it worked out perfectly. We put Everett down for his morning nap and got everything ready for the 40 minute drive to Payson. As soon as he woke up we got in the car and headed down for our time of 12:30.

We actually made it for the 12:00 tour.

We first watched a movie about the importance of Temples and then with our group headed to the temple to put the booties over our shoes to protect the carpets.  Variah loved having the temple volunteers help her out.

The inside was beautiful.  There were stained glass windows all throughout the temple. The blossoms on the windows gradually opened as we climbed higher.  I think they were cherry blossoms because they have lots of cherry orchards in Payson. We forgot to ask someone about that as well as the dark wood that we think was cherry wood. Someday we'll find out right?! When we got to the Celestial room Variah spontaneously reached down and felt the carpet! She did it twice in that room. I guess she thought it was pretty soft. We made sure that we took pictures outside as a family with all the beautiful flowers.

I love this picture of Variah's face...that girl loves making silly faces in pictures

I am so thankful that Daniel and I were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and that my little family can be together for all eternity!
