The cake is just a sandwich I made using a bread bowl. I sliced it in half and frosted it with cream cheese. The flowers are ketchup. For the hotdog I covered a banana with strawberry yogurt. I colored frosting red and yellow for the condiments. The relish is diced kiwi. The bun is just pound cake. And top it all off with blue milk.

Happy April Fool's Day
Today started out with me giving my students a "Big Test". I had a paper with directions that told the kids to read all the problem before getting started. It had about 13 things that needed to be done. The first one told them to put their name on the paper. #2 had them doing some big addition problems. It went on like that for several problems, then they had to stand and say their name, then do some more problems, then clap their hands 3 times, then write the word fool 3 times, things like that. The last number told them to only do number one and then fold their arms and sit quietly. It was so funny to watch some of the kids do the whole test. Others, followed the directions and sat quietly, well, quietly for 5th graders watching their classmates acting silly. Then tonight I made this for dinner.

Ew! That's cute. I totally bombed April Fools this year. I LOVE that day. But I just was lame and did nothing. Maybe next year!
ReplyDeleteThat is a hilarious test! The dinner looks interesting, but know you, it probably tasted great.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! What a great teacher you must be!
ReplyDeleteAnd, I'm impressed that you went through so much trouble with dinner! How did you come up with that? And did it taste good? :)
