So yesterday I decided to write in a journal for our little one about the past 7 months. Daniel's sister Anna gave me the idea-thanks Anna! When I started writing in the journal I remembered that we took pictures the day we found out we were expecting. We used Daniel's camera because I take mine everywhere and let anyone use/see it. We didn't want the picture to be seen for awhile, so we used Daniel's camera. And we were so sneaky about it, I totally forgot until yesterday. So here is our very first "pregnancy" picture that we took.

I had wanted to surprise Daniel on his birthday, Nov. 13th, with a positive pregnancy test. Unfortunately all of the dollar stores I went to were out of them! I wasn't about to spend 20 bucks on something I could get for $1. Then Daniel and I decided to do that indoor skydiving thing for his birthday. I knew I had to tell him I thought I was pregnant cuz I didn't want to do the indoor surfing thing as well as the skydiving. I was afraid I could fall on my tummy and that could lead to a miscarriage. So I told him my plans and feelings on Nov. 12th. On Monday the 14th, I bought some tests and Tuesday morning before work, we were blessed to see those 2 little lines! Hooray! Now with only 2 and a half months left, that morning seems like forever ago! I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry yesterday when I saw these pictures. I kinda felt like a mom looking at baby pictures of her adult children. ( yes, I know, cheesy, but the truth)

Daniel gave me these flowers that Friday congratulating me on becoming a mama. It was coincidence that I matched the flowers-honestly!
Such a great idea! Love the pictures.
ReplyDeleteGood idea! You will love looking back on what was happening when you have another one. I know, I know, I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm just saying.... Plus, I still am sending you a present, but I haven't made it yet. I'll get it to you though. All in due time.
ReplyDeleteThanks Donnarae! That is so nice of you to think of us, esp. with life super busy for you with 2 little darlings!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea Court! Keep it up! I swear I've donated brain cells to each of our kids and I haven't gotten them back, so write it down while you remember it! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Janene- I know I have lost brain cells. Document everything you want to remember, even when you think you will remember it- you won't!! You had more to go on than I did- I didn't have any pictures but then that was before the digital age :)
