Mother's Day

I'm going to be a mother!  It was so much fun thinking that for Mother's Day this year, I actually get to celebrate being a mamma.  I always felt so akward standing up in church on Mother's Day being single. Last year Daniel was out of town so I went to church with my mom and grandma.  I'll admit, I stood up for the free chocolates.  My mom, who is a mom, was denied chocolates cuz she was a "visitor".  It is quite a story.  This year was a great day. Daniel brought me breakfast in bed. (thanks mom for that bed tray-great gift!)

Daniel also got me flowers, a card and a coupon book that he made.  One of the coupons is for a calf massage "a calf twix"-hence the candy bar. The brownies mix is cuz they are my favorite treat and Daniel made a coupon for brownies anytime I want.  The chicken in a biscuits are for when I'm craving a salty treat.  It was so cute and creative. And yes, the card made me cry.  It talked about me being the mother of our little baby girl and how Daniel can't wait for that day. Me too!  It was a great 1st Mother's Day :)

When Daniel and I were dating, we went to AZ for a fun trip.  It just happened that we were there for Mother's Day.  And it also turned out that we'd packed matching clothes. I had on this yellow skirt and Daniel had on a yellow tie.  Everyone at church kept asking us if we'd planned to match.  Nope, just meant to be together :)

  

I thought it was great that this skirt still worked with my pregnant belly and that I could wear it on our first Mother's Day together and our REAL first Mother's Day. 10 more weeks until our little one!!
