Variah's Blessing

On September 30th, we blessed our sweet little Variah.  Before Variah was even born I found a lady in Farmington that would make my wedding dress into a blessing dress. I called one day to ask how it was going and she told me she had my dress taken apart. I'm not gonna lie, my heart hurt a little when she said that. I loved my dress! I had to remind myself that I wouldn't wear it again, so it was okay.  Here is what my dress looked like:

Here is Variah in her beautiful dress:

The blanket she is on was made by my great grandma Anderson.  The bracelet she is wearing is made by Young Women in the Bacolod Philippines stake. Carter served his mission there maybe even taught some of the girls!

Here is the dress and some of the amazing details:

After the blessing at church, we had everyone come back to our house for some food. Anna, Daniel's sister, took the pictures of Variah and our new little family.

We love her many faces!

Here are all the people that came to support us and Variah:
 Austin and Ciara

Grandpa Burningham

Jessica, McKinley and Melissa

Carsten, Chelsea and Dustin

Carter and Annie-you can't even tell she's pregnant

Norman, Daniel, Stephen, Camille, Debbie, Brayden

We put the three babies together.  Marika was born on June 1, Carsten June 2 and Variah July 15th.
Marika and Carsten are holding hands, which they did on their own.

It was a great day. I was worried Variah would scream during the prayer with no way to calm her since she doesn't take a binky. Luckily she just looked around at all the men in the blessing circle.
