It has been quite the adventure. Daniel flew to Italy on the 7th of September, so I got to experience being a single parent for 16 days! I don't know how ladies do it. I luckily was able to go to my parent's house. They were a big help.
Luckily we also have Skype accounts, so Daniel and I were able to Skype everyday. It was fun to watch Variah just stare at the computer screen when Daniel talked to her.
She is quite alert and loves looking at things. She also got to spend time with Carsten when my mom babysat him. They aren't interacting yet, but Variah loved staring at him. She'd smile when he cried, making my mom and me laugh.
During the two weeks I was at my parents's house, Variah decided to roll over! Luckily we were able to record it and Daniel also got to see her roll over when we were skyping.
Unfortunately with her turning 2 months, she had to get shots. That was NOT fun. I thought for sure I'd cry like I did when they did the PKU at her 2 week appointment. Luckily I held in the tears and was able to drive home to Farmington for help from my mom.
At V's doctor appointment she weighed 10 lbs 4 oz. she measured almost 22 1/2 inches. She's a skinny but long baby. Are you surprised? Well, here's to another month of discoveries...
