Variah is 6 months old

Oh my goodness! I cannot believe our little girl is already 6 months old! Her little personality is really starting to show. She loves laughing and smiling. In fact if I say "Smile Variah" she will. It is so cute.  She still likes to look at things upside down and chew anything she gets her hands on.  Luckily for me she only has those 2 bottom teeth and no more.  We've been feeding her rice cereal and solid foods since she was 5 months old. She was always so interested in what Daniel and I were eating, that we decided to go ahead and try solids with her. I've been making all the baby food we've given her and so far she has liked everything. So far I've made bananas, applesauce, sweet potatoes and carrots.  We haven't fed her the carrots or applesauce yet.  I'd say the sweet potatoes have been her favorite.  I fed her store bought pears which I thought she'd love the most, but sweet potatoes are it.  I think it has something to do with all the fries I ate while I was pregnant :)  Another favorite thing of Variah's is pooping in her pants while in her carseat. Almost every time we get her out of her carseat, she's had an accident!  Tonight we drove for 6 minutes to Anna's house and yep, blow out.  This was the 2nd one of the day (we ran an errand earlier today).  It doesn't matter if I've changed her right before we leave, she still performs her "talent"!  And she is also a spit up queen.  So if you see me wearing more causal clothes, that's why. So much easier to wash t-shirts and running pants than sweaters and jeans.  But man, we sure love our little girl. She is so fun to watch as she discovers things.  Her look of concentration never gets old for us!  Poor Daniel hates leaving for work each morning.  When we first got married he'd leave for work at 8:00. Now days it is closer to 9:00.  He loves his little one.  I could go on and on about how much we love her, but I won't. I'll post some pictures instead....

She likes to pull down the breathable bumper pads and look out at her room.  It makes us laugh to find her looking out like this after a nap or in the mornings when Daniel gets her up for the day.
