Mother's Day

For Mother's Day weekend we put together our fire pit! Hooray!! We got up Saturday morning and got going right away on putting all of the stones down. We borrowed Sam and Anna's suburban Friday to get all the stones from Lowes.  THANK YOU! They are great to always let us borrow their vehicles for our large purchases that don't fit into our cars.  Here is what the fire pit looked like Saturday morning:

I was in charge of carrying the stones and Daniel was in charge of putting down the dirt to layer the stones and putting them down in the correct pattern.

Variah was in charge of playing in the shade.

We worked from 9:30 am to 4:00 in the afternoon and then we headed to Grandpa Burningham's house to help him clean up his yard with our family.  It was a LONG day!  We still have to put sand on top of all the stones and cut some of the stones to make the rounded edge. I'll post the finished project after that happens, but here is what it looks like for now.

Mother's Day started with breakfast in bed. Daniel made me eggs and toast. Yummy.

Along with the fire pit I also got a barnes and noble gift card and an awesome strawberry slicer

We had Daniel's parents, Camille and Ashley up for dinner. The guys did a great job with barbecued chicken, broccoli, salad and homemade ice cream.

Kisses for Grandma Taylor

It was a great weekend!
Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers out there
