July 4th and Burningham Reunion

Happy Birthday America! Variah wore this cute dress the Sunday before the 4th. My mom bought the shirt and made it into a dress for Variah. She made the headband and some matching bumkins to wear with it. So darling!

The day before the 4th, Daniel and my brothers went golfing at Mtn. Dell golf course . Poor Daniel was a little tired that night. He totally passed out on our family room floor while I made some salsa chicken for the cabin.
At least he has his phone and remote close by in case he wakes up! Haha

To celebrate the 4th we had a yummy dutch oven breakfast at my parents' place and then hung out there for the day.  Ciara, Austin and Caitlyn gave Variah an early birthday present for her to enjoy:

A swimming pool and toys for the pool. Variah got the present early so we could use it that day.

Getting ready to go swimmin

Cool shades Dad

Our bathing beauty

The pool is perfect with the shade and shallow water, makes for a great pool in really hot temperatures!

All tuckered out! We call this the stink bug position

The boys played a football game of sorts in the backyard.  Daniel had an awesome catch from Austin, too bad he was super close to our neighbors fence. He crashed right on through the fence, landing on the hard cement below and bumping his head on the shed!  Not gonna lie, when he didn't move for a minute I got scared and raced with Dustin to make sure he was okay.  He was laughing as Carter and Austin pulled him to his feet. Wow! What a great catch!

Twins!

Everyone except for Cait, Laura and Jack.

Carsten and Variah loved watching Trey in the hammock while he played with the empty plastic cup.  If they could have joined him in the hammock I'm sure they would have! I love this picture!

The next day we headed up to our family's cabin in the Smith and Morehouse area. Variah was so excited to explore the new place I could hardly get a clear picture of her

Trey and Carsten were rolling the ball back and forth and Variah sat down right in the middle! So much for that fun game.

One of the many horseshoe battles

The fans

There was a critter outside and everyone ran to the windows to see what it was-a ground squirrel or something

Carsten learned to be quite the walker up there

Variah didn't learn to share

Trey learned to sit up by himself-Carter's hand are clearly NOT holding him up :)

My folks bought these outfits for the cousins to wear so we had a cousin photo shoot

Variah's pose kills me

I love how Trey has his arm on Carsten and his big grin

Variah did not like sitting still

Trey had a hard time sitting

Variah didn't like wearing the bow

But we got some cute shots of the cousins!

Happy 4th of July!
