Valentine's Day

This year was Daniel's year to plan our Love Day.  But I figured I could still do something fun for breakfast.

I used a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out bread pieces and filled it with egg.  I also dyed the milk red.

Variah got red eggs and actually ate them!

She got a package in the mail from Larlie and Pop

She was really excited to pull out each item.  She would say "ohhh" every time.

The contents of the package

This was the final product of a whole bunch of pictures I took of Variah

She's such a goof off sometimes! She did that totally on her own

She was blowing kisses

This is her saying "cheese"

Valentines for her friends in the neighborhood

Variah colored on a heart that said "I'm nuts about you Dad" with a bag of corn nuts

Daniel brought home one of my favorite things to eat-PIZZA! I was stoked-really!

Dessert was a dozen cookies that were wrapped like roses.

I got Daniel a bag type thing for his bike and treats for his drawer at work

He got me a small crock pot for dips and things

Then he gave me a card that sent me on a scavenger hunt throughout the house!

The last clue led me to my dinner chair. Under my cushion was a gift card to Barnes and Noble.

Here are all the clues with the gifts from Daniel.  It was such a fun day and Daniel really outdid himself.  I sure am lucky to have such a wonderful and thoughtful husband.  He was worried that I would see the pizza as a cop out, but he knew it was my favorite. I didn't see it as a cop out at all, but as a very thoughtful dinner, one that I loved.  Thank you Daniel for turning my feelings around about Valentine's Day!

Variah's Valentines' Day gift came a few days late due to the storms back east.  But she loved it and didn't care that it came later!
