Easter

This year was lots of fun with Variah for Easter! She understood it more this year and loved looking for easter eggs.  She even got to color Easter Eggs with markers Friday night.

Picking out a sticker to go on the eggs

Saturday afternoon we went up to Farmington for the Bham family party.  Carsten and Variah got to do  their first ever egg hunt.

So excited!

And they're off...

She loved eating all the treats inside the eggs.

Carsten brought his water table to play with. Variah was soaked by the end of the night but she loved it.

Carter and family showed up so Trey got to play with the water table too.

The table all set

My mom made rice crispy eggs for everyone with their names on them

This is a new tradition we got from my Aunt Lisa Royal…egg smashing contest.  You decorate your hard boiled egg, and have a roll off/smash off with another person and their egg. One person wins and the other person gets a cracked egg.  The winner moves on until you have a champion.

Chels and I went against each other in the championship and she won!

Easter Morning was super fun with Variah. The Easter Bunny was really nice and hid her plastic eggs in places she could find them.  And he even used candy and marshmallows!

A new swimsuit, sidewalk chalk, books, peeps and easter eggs

Daddy finding his basket

A nerf dart gun, peeps, Ferris Bueller's Day Off (he has never seen the whole movie), beef jerky and easter eggs

Peeps on a stick, a shirt for my big belly, chocolate and easter eggs.

Easter Egg pancakes

Her cute Easter Dress she picked out with dad

My two favorite people going to church

After church we headed to Orem for the Taylor family dinner

She knew exactly what to do now with those eggs!

Scouting out more eggs...

Telling Grandma where she found her eggs

So cute!

Grandma helped Variah find the harder ones

So did Daddy :)

After all that searching she was still thoughtful and knew there were others that needed some nourishment :) Love the sounds she makes to go with the baby drinking her bottle!

We had a great weekend with our families!

Daniel and I decorated our eggs Sunday night-Better late than never right?!

We attempted marbleized eggs with dye, vinegar and oil.  They kind of worked.

Happy Easter
