Visiting Mimi

My mom's mom never wanted to be called grandma. So my family and I think 2 other families call her Mimi, 3 other families call her Grammy.  Anyways, a few months ago they found out that she had cancer in her mouth. In order to get the cancer out they were going to have do some major surgery.  My mom was super worried that we wouldn't be able to recognize her after the surgery and that Mimi wouldn't remember us with such a traumatic surgery.  So we decided to visit her with Chels, Carsten, Annie, Trey and my mom. Chelsea took some great pictures of all of us.  It was so good to see Mimi. Back when I was single and living in Holladay I was able to visit her every Wednesday and have lunch or just chat with her. It was a hard summer for me and I looked forward to those times I got to spend with her. It helped me get out side of myself and forget about my silly boy problems.  It makes me laugh because she still brings up "that silly boy that was so stupid", but then brings up Daniel and how much he loves me and they way he looks at me.  It makes me thankful she has been able to meet Daniel and Variah and spend time with them.  Luckily everything went well with the surgery and the doctors did a fabulous job so she still looks like my beautiful Mimi. Now just time for recovery
