We had a swim party on June 4th at our friend, Julia Robertson's house. Variah loves spending time at Julia's house when I have dr. apts.
Poor little Variah was stung on her hand by a wasp a few days later while I was out watering the garden! She hardly cried. I was pretty impressed. Luckily it wasn't swollen for very long.
All tuckered out
Brayden and Marika came over to play later that day while Tiff went to her Dr. Apt
Reading to each other
Kissing each other on the cheek to "wake them up"
They loved this game and played for quite a bit. They even asked me to play-who could say no to being "woken up" with a kiss on the cheek from Brayden, Marika or Variah?
4Life Lagoon Day June 7
We went up just before lunch for the annual 4Life lunch and day at Lagoon. We dropped Daniel off at the park and then Variah and I headed to my parents for lunch and nap time. Unfortunately Variah decided to show us her new trick of climbing out of the pack and play! I had just put her down for her nap and was chatting with my mom in the kitchen when up comes Variah happy as a clam and telling us she was "awake"! WHAT?! She refused to go to sleep and kept climbing out of the pack and play. So we ate lunch and headed to Lagoon where we found a VERY happy Daniel. He had won the grand prize of $500!!! Super excited. And of course as soon as I started driving to Lagoon, Variah decided to fall asleep. So we hung out in the car for a bit to let her sleep and then we headed into the park.
So many memories from my childhood came flooding back when I walked into the gates. Ohhh Lagoon...
She had so much fun on the Merry Go Round. I think she rode it like 4-6 times!
Lagoon-A-Beach
Daniel is such a great dad and took her to all of the water slides and pools
Look at what a cute dad he is with all the little kids around him!
Every time I went to Lagoon-A-Beach growing up, Ginny my best friend, and I would order French Fries. They were always so delicious and they didn't disappoint all these years later!
Oh how we LOVE this girl!
We learned that weekend that Variah could also climb out of her crib! Luckly my folks came to our rescue and brought a toddler bed down to our house Monday night, June 9th. She seemed to like it
How she stayed in her bed on night 2 was a mystery to us!
Eating an Over the Top Cookies cookie, and LOVING it
Just being silly wearing dad's swim goggles
YW out of school barbecue in our backyard
She would rather sleep on the floor by her door than sleep in her bed! And to add to our fun, the week after she learned to climb out of her crib she learned how to open doors, and then doors with child safety lock things on them! So I had to change out our bathroom door that locks with her door knob. So yep, we actually lock her in her bedroom each night.
Who doesn't go shopping like this right?
She loves her little Tot Spot chair
Happy Father's Day Daniel! We had his favorite German pancakes with lots of bacon for him to eat.
Each note around the poster has reasons why Variah and I love him
Bags of Homemade Kettle Corn for our Dads
Variah and Carsten exploring Pop's garden and backyard
Picnic in the house
Variah's favorite place to rest her head, sometimes she even falls asleep listening to baby brother
Craft night with the girls…and Carter in the background (he was there to take a picture of all of us and complain about craft nights-HAHA)
Museum of Curiosity with Chels and Carsten June 20
Lego/Build it Room
They make a great team
So Daniel, Variah, Grandpa Taylor and I were outside. Variah disappeared into the garage and seconds later we heard a crash and crying. She was against my tire with the ladder against the car and over her. We figured she was climbing the ladder and it fell over landing on the car, denting it, but protecting her from getting more hurt. That little girl is fearless and loves to climb!
Splash Pad with Larlie and Ciara
This little girl threw up for the first time while Daniel was in Columbia. It was in the middle of the night and I felt horrible for her! She had a temperature for a couple of days but eventually got better over the weekend. She only threw up that one night.
Larlie was pretty concerned so she came down with a doll to make Variah laugh
And lots of food for V to eat including popsicles, creamies and ice cream. Variah was in heaven!
Daniel was pretty tired when he got back from Colombia. Can you tell?
Popsicles and pooltime
She did this all by herself-soccer socks and cleats. She cracks us up!
As you can see June was a packed month, but nothing compared to what July was gonna bring...
