March

We celebrated Dr. Seuss's bday with Green Eggs and Ham, Red and white pudding and some Cat in the Hat decorations. I'm glad my family lets me celebrate these holidays!

It snowed one morning and Variah was so happy to go out and play in it all by herself. And I was more than willing to watch her play in the snow as I sat by the back door.

But then I decided we needed to build a snowman since our other snowman in December was knocked down by some kids. We used our snowman kit that I made for us.

This is what the snowman looked like the next day...
Lonely and ready to melt away!

An impressive snot bubble

I made a leprechaun hat for Everett so we now have 4 hats for our March decorations.

My little bath buds

This shirt if from my dear friend Cindy Muhleman in Arizona.

This boy loves to eat his solid foods!! He's been eating them for a month now. He eats like a champ-4T of rice cereal with 2 Oz of a vegetable puree and 4 oz of formula all mixed together. He eats that for dinner, we haven't started him eating breakfast yet.

To finish up the bathroom remodel I found plans on the internet for floating shelves. Daniel bought the wood and built them for me! I LOVE them!!

I love my "new" bathroom

And while I was buying things at IKEA for the bathroom I bought these shelves for Everett's room

Here are pictures of the rest of his room that I had finished the week before he was born

His room all complete...well I still need to hang up the clock that has his birth time on it, but for now it rests on his dresser.

I was getting ready in the bathroom and heard all this commotion. Turns out this little girl really wanted to wash her hands in my sink. So being the smart girl that she is, she brought the bar stool all the way from the kitchen to help her with her quest...

She's kinda independent!

This little guy learned how to sit up all by himself

He's pretty cute

He loves sucking on his bottom lip-a sign he's gonna start teething I think

For St. Patricks' Day the leprechaun stopped by our house and colored Variah's milk green! She loved drinking her sippy cup of milk when she woke up and eating cereal for breakfast.

Green Milk mustache

Loving the warm weather and sidewalk chalk

I sure love this face!

She was super excited and brought me flowers that she picked for me and Larlie-cuz yellow is Larlie's favorite color

Just hanging out together watching march madness

I won a giveaway from Our Best Bites and got all this from Dr. Browns! I never win anything so I was pretty excited! Too bad Everett doesn't drink from a bottle and doesn't use a binky!

One afternoon my neighbor called to see if Variah could play. She said her 9 year old daughter and 2 friends really wanted to play with Variah, the girl who spoke Spanish. HAHA! They came and picked her up and played for about an hour. It was so cute when they came. They held her hands and walked off to play.

We signed up again for the 4Life 5K. Daniel ran and i walked/ran with these two kids. This year was much better because I wasn't pregnant and could actually run and Variah was happy to be on the walk. Last year she cried towards the end. Everett always the awesome baby decided to sleep! It was a great 5K!

Daniel took 2nd place in his age division for the 5K! Way to go Daniel!!

Rather than keeping all of Variah's nursery drawings and crafts, I've decided to take pictures of them and keep the pictures of her and the things she makes. Less clutter but the memory still there

She decided she needed to nurse Rah like I nurse Everett!

Our handsome boy in an outfit from Larlie

After nap snuggles are the BEST!

V and I were playing in her room and were playing a game where I'd push her to the edge of her toddler bed and then she'd fall out. Well one of the times she fell out and hit her head on the edge of her dresser!  Thankfully she didn't have to get stitches cuz Daniel was out of town and I did not want to deal with that drama!

Variah loved feeding Everett his dinner. She would race through eating her dinner in order to feed him his! It became a great bribe to get her to eat her dinner :)

One morning there was a knock on the door. When we opened it we saw a plastic egg with a note saying we had been "egged" and needed to find 12 plastic eggs in our yard.

Variah was soo excited to find all of them. I knew Easter was going to be super fun with her this year.

All of her loot

I love this picture cuz I hear this quote in my head "Now that is a good cup of Joe" from the Disney cartoon, Meet the Robinsons.

Apparently I collected key chains when I was in High School. I forgot about that collection until I opened up one of my High School boxes. Ha!

Love my boy

A stake Young Womens leader, Hedi the Mia Maids advisor, Mickaela and Lexi, 2 of my Mia Maids

I was crafting and she was digging through boxes. She found dad's tiger collection and this hat which she calls her "cowgirl hat"

Found the toilet plunger like this. Variah told me she needed to push her poop down. Haha! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery right?!

Growing up my dad always told us to use our muscles with hard things. So Variah was having a hard time opening the box of Mac and Cheese so with my back to her I said the same thing. I turned around to see her using her muscle to open the box!! Haha!

Daniel sent me these beautiful flowers while he was gone in Costa Rica

He sent some to Variah as well

She was pretty excited to get her own flowers. She carried them around every day until they were pretty much just stems!

I attempted some flex rod rollers in Variahs hair and loved them! Easy and super cute

Selfies while hanging out in the mothers lounge at church

After a long day I just wanted to soak in the tub after I put the kids to bed. I heard some noise and then this little one decided she needed to join me in the bathroom. She asked to have a bath with me but I sent her back to bed. Luckily she obeyed and I didn't have to get out of the bath!

When Daniel got back from his business trip he brought us these shirts and chocolates. The chocolates are heavenly and were bought from the plantation where they were made. We sure miss him when he is gone and enjoy when he is back, especially when he brings gifts!

Everett had his 6 month check up on the 11th. He weighed 17.17 lbs, putting him at 45%. His height was 27.26 inches putting him in the 80% range.
