Bham Girls Get Away

For months we planned on a girls getaway to St. George to stay in MiMi's second house.  Ciara and Laura even said they'd be able to make it up to St. George as well! Hooray! And luck would have it, Daniel and I bought a van that was able to fit all of us inside.  So Wednesday June 10th, Mom, Caitlyn, Chels and Annie stopped at my house, we loaded up the van and we were off! We got there late Wednesday night.

Thursday we slept in and then hung out at the pool.  Later in the afternoon we went and saw Pitch Perfect 2. I hadn't seen Pitch Perfect 1, but was pleasantly surprised with the movie. It is about an a cappella group, so the music was fun too. We were those annoying people that laugh lots through the movie-at least that is what the people must have thought who turned around to look at us!

THE BEST crepes ever!! We ate dinner at The Crepery. Seriously so delicious!

I got the Mac Daddy which did NOT disappoint. 

The inside of the place was decorated so cute with paper birds hanging from the ceiling

Annie taught us how to play a card game called Canasta. We fell in love and played it the whole trip! 

We played until late that night when Ciara and Laura arrived

Day #2

When my Grandpa Fred was alive he loved eating at Bear Paw. So it is a tradition to grab breakfast there. The wait is pretty long, but the food is worth it.

It was a great play and ended with a bang-seriously! They had fireworks after the show that started the mountain on fire.

These two didn't have the best of days...so they took a nap together

We went to dinner at Anasazi Steakhouse. They bring you out a hot stone with the meat you order. Then you get to cook it on the hot lava rock and dip it in house dressing/sauces. It was super yummy food and a fun thing to do!

After dinner we went back to the house to have a Favorites Party...each of us brought a $5 gift of a favorite thing of ours

It was a little scary-in fact this guy started out on the front door, laura caught it, it jumped, we screamed and shut the door on her, then helped her put it in a bucket. We carried the bucket to the back and the frog escaped. But she searched and found it again

We packed up and headed home on Sunday.  It was such a fun weekend with lots of laughter and tears. I'm so thankful we were able to spend that time together!
