August was a nice chill month after our super busy and crazy July.
Everyone eats chicken nuggets with sunglasses on right?!
Another nursery picture
Daniel and Variah went on a hike with Sophie and Jeff Jeppson
My parents were given chickens and Everett loved meeting them!
Variah loved them too
Daniel decided to sell his motorcycle and after a couple of weeks on KSL ads he was able to sell it. It was a bittersweet day for everyone!
Nursery picture she colored
Variah put on Everett's 12 month pants-they fit just fine other than the length!
Our family picture I drew for Variah
A picture of Everett that V drew
A playdate with Talia Higbee
This boy wakes up happy all the time, even when his arm is stuck he is all smiles
Going to the moon in their rocket ship
I think they were trying to get away from this crazy lady
Daniel came back from a business trip and brought this fun light home for Variah
She was pretty excited about it
And yes, our window well is STILL flooding
This time Daniel decided to get down in the window well and see if he could break up the big cement slab left behind in the window well
He had to rent a small jack hammer from a nearby store to break up the slab into smaller pieces
Look at all of that cement!
This girl has been transitioning from 1 nap a day to none. Somedays she just can't take it and falls asleep-I like the cuddles!
We went to Lawson Taylor's 1 year old birthday party
I don't know what happened but all of a sudden Everett covered his face...
and cried like the world was ending. Not gonna lie I love his cry face because it is for real!
Just hanging out with my boy
All summer Chelsea has been talking about the Roy Aquatic Center and how amazing it is, so Daniel stayed home with Everett. Variah and I drove the hour plus up there. It was close to the Hill Air Force airplane museum so we took a slight detour so Variah could see all the planes. She LOVES planes!
These two were so excited to see each other that they actually ran up to each other so they could hug!
Eating lunch
Carsten wanted me to take him down the blue slide since his mom wouldn't. I loved that he would hold my hand and do that with me even though we went under the water on accident one of the times.
Look at that cute face!
One morning Everett woke up with this nasty blister on his thumb! We figured out that the new tooth he was getting was causing his thumb to rub against it when he sucked his thumb at night. OUCH!
It popped a couple of days later so we had to wrap it so it wouldn't get infected or be bothered by him sucking his thumb at night
This little girl loves dressing up and playing mom with her baby doll
look at those curls!
Bubble bathtime
We went to the Aquarium with Anna, Tiffany and kids
I think Variah was more interested in this hands on ship than any of the animals!
Walking on the cargo net bridge
Everett liked the fish
We were able to FaceTime Ciara when she found out the gender of her baby...a GIRL!!
Cutting the top of Everett's hair-Variah was my photographer
We were sick of Everett always getting his hair dirty when he ate so we put a swim cap on him at meals to keep it clean!
Nursery picture with her "friend" Fire Hydrant. She really is friends with this fire hydrant in front of our house-she talks to it and gives it hugs!
We had a date night to a SL Real game. It was fun and not too hot!
For a Young Womens activity we went roller skating. Brooke, Kimmy and I thought it would be a good idea to have Kimmy try going under my legs while we skated. Well she sure got stuck and both of us crashed. Brooke was skating to close and went down as well, landing on Kimmy's skate! We laughed pretty hard until the bruises showed up the next few days!
The night before Variah went to her 1st Day of Preschool, we had a back to school dinner.
This was supposed to be a placemat that looked like a chalkboard that V could color on...I failed to think about our wipe board markers being dark colors and not showing up! Oops
We ate pizza and I made peanut butter bars-2 things I loved eating at school
Daniel gave Variah a father's blessing for her upcoming school year. It was pretty cute to see her get excited about the blessing.
I read to her some back to school books to get her excited
I sure love this family of mine!
I had Daniel take some better pictures of me cutting Everett's hair that night
