We had chicken, beef, cauliflower, carrots, apple slices, ravioli, french bread and sautéd mushrooms that I got to eat all of since no one likes mushrooms.
Cheesy goodness!
She really liked using the fondue sticks to get her food
Christmas Eve pajamas
This is the best picture I got of Variah with her pajama paint can
The paint cans were also amazing drums
The girls
Variah offered to take a picture for us-not too bad!
All of us in our new pajamas
Variah moved spots in every picture we took!
I don't know why Variah likes making silly faces in her pictures?!
After we got in our Christmas pajamas we put Everett to bed, and then watched the animated Nativity movie. Variah wanted to watch it twice until we reminded her about the chocolate dip we had to eat still. But I was impressed with how much she enjoyed and understood of the nativity movie.
She loved the chocolate fondue
Cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer
My gifts from Santa
Everett's Santa gifts
Gifts from Santa for Variah
Daniel's Santa gifts
Everett was pretty excited about the yogurt bites
Daniel and his gifts from the kids and me
V with her stash of gifts
Everett with all of his presents
And me with my presents from Daniel and the kids
the family gifts
V opening up her gifts
Everett opening a shirt
Clothes for Variah
trying out her book from Jack
He was excited about the snacking cups
Everett was pretty excited about the blocks. He loves Variah's pink ones so to have his own was a pretty big deal
dance mat for Variah
She had loaded up Mary from our Nativity scene and I said, "well that sure beats the heck out of going on a donkey." That is why she talks about the airplane going to the city of David. She remembered that is where Mary needed to go to have her baby!
Phone Case
Gelish nail polish
all of our new movies
Sub pump for our window well from my parents
Daniel's gifts
All of Variah's presents
Everett with all of his gifts
Variah's preschool gift to us- I love it!
When I was pregnant with Variah I sang this song to her everyday. I sang it to her as a baby and still sing it to her every once in awhile. It is our special song
She has been obsessed with weddings since Caitlyn got married and Ashley announced she is getting married. So of course she needed a wedding dress of her own!
The aftermath of Christmas
We were able to stay home Christmas Day. We spent the day in our pajamas watching movies and playing with our new toys. It was a very nice and relaxing day for all of us!
Trying out the snack cups
Grandma Taylor seeing all of Variah's Christmas gifts
Grandpa Taylor playing with Everett's gifts
We were also able to get a new kitchen table that fits 8 people. Hooray!
These two do play well together sometimes
A late Christmas present-a stroller for her baby
We played in the snow one day with liquid water colors. We "tagged" our snow with some fun colors and artwork. V put her hat on this way and I thought she looked like a hoodlum out writing graffiti on walls
Daniel and Variah went on their 2nd Annual Daddy Daughter date to look at the lights at Temple Square
We had watched the church's nativity movie the morning of Christmas before we went out to see our gifts. This is a scene from the movie and Variah recognized it right away as Mary, Joseph and Jesus.
Variah also went sledding lots with Daniel. We were lucky and had him home from Christmas Eve day until the 4th of January!
New Year's Eve dinner with the Jeppson family. We always have hamburgers from the barbecue. A tradition from my days after graduating from Utah State.
Sophie wanted to sit on Variah's lap while we were playing in V's bedroom after dinner
Our dance party. We found a dance party and countdown for kids last year on Netflix. They had the same countdown this year so of course we wanted to do it again!
Cute Sophie was born with Spina Bifida. So she can't feel from the waist down, but that doesn't stop her from having fun!
Variah's last trick of 2015-stacking all of these things on her window ledge
Our last picture of 2015.
Here's looking to a great new year in 2016!
