Tales from the Taylors: August

We met Daniel at the McDonald's by our house one afternoon to redeem some gift certificates from my parents. The kids had so much fun eating and then getting to play on the indoor playground.

Sad to admit it, but that was their first time ever playing at a fast food playground!

This little girl is wearing a vest I was given by MiMi and Grandpa Fred after a trip of theirs to China. So fun seeing V wear a vest that meant so much to me as a kid.

Thanks to 4Life we got to go to a Real Salt Lake Soccer game with great seats. We enjoy going every year

I snuck my snacks in by putting them into a diaper and wipes case. Haha!

August 9, V started preschool with Mrs. Jean DaBell

Everett was pretty excited too

Dropoff...each student has a milk crate where they store their stuff. Mrs. Jean waits for them in the garage and they enter and then head downstairs to look at picture books until all the students arrive

Our neighborhood had an Olympics to kick off the summer Olympics. It was so cute all the things that were planned. This was the gymnastics rotation

When I asked Everett to close his eyes, this is what he did

I went to lunch with some USU friends, so I met up with Daniel and his dad. They took the kids with them to Scheels, a sporting goods store, to grab lunch and ride the indoor Ferris Wheel. Daniel is in the red shirt.

Norman and Everett walked around while V and Daniel were on the Ferris Wheel. Everett supposedly climbed into this desk all by himself

We went up to the cabin with the Jeppson. We went up on a Friday afternoon to spend the night.

Daniel and Jeff took the kids out for a walk soon after we arrived at the cabin. It gave Molly and me a chance to enjoy kid free time just chatting

Of course the kids had to go on a 4 wheeler ride with Daniel

Everett pretty much claimed the 4 wheeler as his own and got upset anytime the 4 Wheeler went out without him!

The kids were in heaven playing with them....

And then we took them to the basement where it was dark and they really were in heaven!! We had a dance party with them-what a great idea to bring up glowsticks!!

This picture is one that reminds me of a picture my dad took of Christian and me at our condo at Snowbird Ski Resort.

These two sure do keep me entertained with the things they come up with!

I couldn't find Everett one day... he was just sitting in the stroller hanging out wanting to go for a walk!

Some back to school cookies I made for Anna

I got out of the shower one day to find these two making mischief in the bathroom...pretty much flushing a whole roll of toilet paper down the toilet!!

I was Variah's fort blanket holder and couldn't move or it would all fall down!

I picked Variah up from preschool one day to see her looking like this! Her hair hadn't stayed put in the elastic and she had purple frosting EVERYWHERE from a birthday treat. I laughed so hard.

I ordered some gourmet marshmallows from Arizona. This is a coconut marshmallow that I added a piece of chocolate to and some caramel to make a Samoa Smore. Delish!
