Mimi's 87th Birthday Party

My Grandma Mimi had her 87th birthday. To celebrate we all gathered at the assisted living center in Layton where she lives. We had sandwiches and cake, and sang Happy Birthday to her 3 times upon her request. It was good to see her. I haven't seen her since she had her operation before I had Everett. It was hard to see her not her normal self. Dementia has really set in and she has become very child like my mom says.  She still has her spunk though and sang "the old gray mare" song for us because she knows she just "aint what she used to be". It was pretty cute. Throughout the party she just kept telling everyone how much she loved us.  It was fun to see lots of my cousin. Daniel had to teach Sunday School so Variah and he went to church.

I had Variah paint a card for MiMi since she couldn't be there

Missing Sharri and Jeff

And this is only SOME of the grandkids!
Sharri has 3 kids all married and with families
Tina has 3 kids, 2 married with families and 1 engaged
Lisa has 9 kids all but one married and with families
My mom has 6 kids, all but 1 married with families
Jeff has 4 kids all married with families
Steph has 2 kids, 1 married
That makes for a LOT of family!

I love this picture

Oh the stories I could tell about MiMi. This woman is full of spunk and sass! When we played sports as kids she would come to our games to support and cheer us on. I loved having her in the stands. She raised 6 kids as a single mom for many years. One summer I was able to visit her every Wednesday for lunch and much needed chats. Every time I left, she tried to give me something to take home. She was so sweet and I loved getting to spend time with her that summer. I love my MiMi
