The object of the game is to balance with one stick and draw a line with the other, not stepping over the line at your feet and being able to stand back up. Harder than it looks!
Saturday night Daniel and I headed to Provo for Stadium of Fire fireworks. We watched them from a seminary bldg. just outside of the stadium.
Sunday afternoon we headed back down to Orem to spend time with the Taylors and their cousins the Slades. We spent the night so we could get up early and go to the Provo parade. This was a first for me and the best way to do it. One of the Slade girls has in-laws that get boxes and boxes of Krispy Kream doughnuts, juice, soda pop and cinnamon rolls for everyone. They set up rows of chairs under their trees and have plenty of room for blankets. It was a great way to experience the Provo parade for the first time.
We even had a celebrity watching with us!

He's the mission president from the movie "Best Two Years"
After the parade, we went back to the Taylors and had the semi-annual red, white and blue breakfast. (They also do this breakfast on Christmas morning)
That night we watched fireworks in their cul de sac from various family members. It was a fun filled weekend, that made me thankful to live in America!
Mmmmm, I love me some red, white and blue! That game looks pretty intense! It looks like it was a fun weekend. Wish we could have hung out at the parade together.
ReplyDeleteWow Court, I've missed a lot! Sorry I'm such a loser and forgot you went private. I kept watching your blog on google reader for an update and just thought, "yeah I suck at blogging too :)" Anyway, looks like life is going so good. It was such a blast being with you again the other night...we need to do it more! Thanks for the laughs! Love you!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Love that picture of you and Daniel looking out at the surf...awesome!
