July 9-12 Girls Camp

We had girls camp at Beaver Ridge Camp Site up by Park City Ut. I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit worried that I would be miserable sleeping in a tent for those days when I wasn't comfortable in my own bed at home! I was pleasantly surprised and slept really well.  The girls and leaders were so thoughtful of me and made sure I had what I needed.  They carried stuff for me and really took care of me. It was so much fun to be at girls camp.  The theme was Be Strong and Courageous.  Each ward was given a YW value to represent. We were the Knowledgable Knights and wore bright green shirts.  We had rain everyday, ran out of drinkable water in the WHOLE campsite, had an awesome testimony meeting with every girl bearing some form of testimony, lots of pranks, crafts, pedicures, a guest speaker with an incredible story, lots of great food and lots of laughter.  I loved it so much and would have gone back up the next week.  Can't wait for next year's camp.  In fact the YW president and I have already started!!

Cute yoga pants the leaders made for each girl-they say Good Knight on the side

While I was away at Girls Camp Daniel and my folks painted and remodeled one of our bedrooms for Variah. The previous owners painted one of the walls with the colors of the Utah Jazz.  We call it the Jazz room for that reason. Since we moved into the house it has been our junk room-eveything that needed a home went into that room. It was quite the packed room, so we worked hard to pack all the stuff up and get it ready for an overhaul.

Board and Batten my dad and Daniel built

All painted white

The grey Daniel painted that turned out blue :( yep, the same problem we had with Variah's nursery.  We fixed that problem and thought if we took the exact same paint into Lowe's they could make the same paint they did the first time. Nope, for some reason it didn't work out and we ended up with a blue  room.  Ahh!
